MYTH MONDAY: THE TRUTH ABOUT PROTEIN SUPPLIMENTS

I get asked the question a lot “Do Protein powders Work?” The question doesn’t really make sense because I’m not sure what people are expecting them to do. Protein supplements and just supplements in general are exactly what the name says… they are there to SUPPLEMENT your diet, not replace meals, not burn fat fast, not bulk you up in a week…just to assist you in completing a balanced diet. The majority or your nutrition should come from food, this includes protein, a shake can be used to help you achieve your protein goal for the day but the protein supplement alone isn’t going to give you magical results…it’s just protein! Don’t Even ask about getting your protein in 30 minutes after your workout!
